1. This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in dg market publication of 3^rd November, 2006, the Guardian Newspaper of 24^th October, 2006 and the Daily Trust Newspaper of 20^th October, 2006.
2. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Avian Influenza Control Project -Federal Ministry of Health and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this  credit  to payments under the contract for the procurement of computers, photocopiers, printers and other accessories for 8 Avian Influenza Control Project laboratories.
3. The Avian Influenza Control Project – Federal Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Procurement of the:

4.  Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding(NCB), a procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Avian Influenza Control Project Office, No. 2. Cassandra Street, Off  Usuma Street, Maitama. Abuja, Nigeria and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, except Holidays.
