1. The Executive Secretariat of the Abidjan Lagos Corridor Organization received a Grant from the Global Fund to fight against Aids Tuberculosis and Malaria to finance the project: Intensification of STI/HIV/AIDS interventions targeting mobile populations: Consolidation and Extension of the joint regional STI/HIV/AIDS project along Abidjan-Lagos transport Corridor.
2. ALCO Executive Secretariat wishes to:
(i) Conduct behavioral surveillance coupled with STI/HIV/AIDS biological survey among the target groups such as the truckers, the commercial sex workers and other mobile populations at the border sites and other hotspots along the Abidjan-Lagos corridor.
(ii) Determine the degree of stigmatization suffered by PLHIV in their immediate environment along the Abidjan-Lagos corridor.
3. The Executive Secretariat of the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization through this expression of interest invites interested firms to express their interest to provide the above described services. They should be firms with proven experience in behavioral surveillance coupled with STI/HIV/AIDS biological survey. Consultants must provide evidence of their qualifications and experience (brochures, references to implementation of similar contracts, experience in similar conditions, and availability of required knowledge among staff) to provide these services.
4. The Consultants will be shortlisted in accordance with the procedures defined by the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization.
5. The projected duration of the mission is two months.

7. Expressions of interest must be submitted in sealed envelope or by e-mail on or before Tuesday 12th July 2011 at 6.00pmat the address below. For sealed submissions, the original and the duplicate of the technical proposal must be in an envelope clearly marked “Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization, expression of interest for behavioral surveillance coupled with STI/HIV/AIDS biological survey among the target groups such as the truckers, the commercial sex workers and other mobile populations at the border sites and other hotspots along the Abidjan-Lagos corridor. To be opened only in the presence of the bids opening team”.
8. The projected start-up of the mission is November 2011
