- This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in dg market publication of 3rd November, 2006, the Guardian Newspaper of 24th October, 2006 and the Daily Trust Newspaper of 20th October, 2006.
- The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Avian influenza Control Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the rehabilitation and upgrading of dedicated Treatment Centres in Ibadan, Lagos and Gwagwalada for Avian Influenza Control Project at three centres in Ibadan, Lagos and Gwagwalada.
- Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits:

- Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased at Avian Influenza Control Project Office, No 2, Cassandra Street, off Usuma Street, Abuja, for a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand Naira (N 10, 000.00) only or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address and the sites they wish to bid for, to be conversant with building to be renovated before submitting their bids.
- Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by security of at least 2% of bid price or its equivalent in a convertible currency, and shall be delivered to Avian Influenza Control Project Office, No 15 Monrovia Street, off Aminu Kano Way Wuse, Abuja, on or before 12:00 noon on 15th October, 2010, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders or representatives who wish to attend.
