Expression of Interest
The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of implementing Malaria Control Booster Project. The Kano State Malaria Control Booster Project intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consulting Services for the engagement of Patent Medicine Vendors (PMVs) Association.
The objective is to identify registered and non-registered PMVs, train them according to National training guidelines, request for the supply of subsidized drugs on timely basis to reduce out of stock syndrome and to peer-supervise internal monitoring of PMVs.
The Kano State Malaria Control Booster Project now invites eligible Associations to indicate their interest in providing services for training and internal monitoring of PMVs Intervention. The Consulting services are to extend over a period of 12 months with possibility of renewal based on performance.
Required Qualifications:
- The Association shall have an evidence of registration for its member(s) with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Must have a functional office in Kano for proper coordination of activities, good knowledge of local language and culture, and must have more than half of its members literate.
Method of Application:
Interested Association/Consultant must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).
