This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No.673 of February 28, 2006 on-line and DG Market
The Lagos State Government through the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Second National Urban Water Sector Reform Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultancy services.
The service is for consulting supervision of contingent rehabilitation of distribution Network in two Water Distribution Areas of Lagos State. It is estimated that a maximum of 12-13 months of consulting services inputs will be required.
The Scope of work consists of Supervision of Contract
1. 18kms of Replacements, Strengthening and Extension of D.I/uPVC in Surulere and Shomolu Service Areas.
2.4kms Repairs on AC and uPVC pipes and 10 kms of repairs on service connections in the two Service Areas
The Lagos Water Corporation now invites eligible consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing supervision services as described above.
Interested consultants must provide the following indicating that they are qualified to perform the services;
- brochures,
- description of similar assignments
- experiences in similar conditions,
- availability of appropriate skills among staff etc
Firms may associate to enhance qualification.
Firms or consortium will be short listed in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guide lines; Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers (Current Edition). The EOI should be submitted in hard copies, one original and four copies and not by electronic mailing.
