Invitation for Pre-Qualification and Tender for the Year 2012 Capital Grant Utilization
1.0Introduction
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi wishes to notify the General Public of its intention to procure works. These are to be funded through the year 2012 Capital Grant.
Interest and eligible contractors are hereby invited to submit Pre-qualification and
Bid Documents for desired lot(s) listed below:
2.0 Scope of Work
Lot1- Procurement and Installation teaching and research equipment for the
School of Technology Education.
Lot2- Construction of Convocation Square at Gubi Campus
Lot3- Construction of a Block of Classroom for the Directorate of Remedial
Studies
Lot4- Construction of Male Hostel at Gubi Campus
3.0 Requirements
· Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs/ Certificate of Incorporation
· Evidence, of Registration with the Federal Ministry of Works/ ATBU as Contractors in the relevant category
· Evidence of Tax Clearance for the last three (3) years and Company’s VAT Registration
· Company’s Audited Account for the Last Three (3) Years
· Evidence of Pension Compliance from the National Pension Commission
· Evidence of Corporate Social Responsibility
· Evidence of Financial Capability to handle the Job
· Company Profile reflecting Executive Capacity, Plant, Equipment and Personnel
· Evidence of Previous/Similar Experience
· Submission of 2% Bid Security for only Pre-qualified Contractors
4.0 Pre-requisite of Processing of Pre-qualification
Payment of Non-Refundable Fee of N20, 000 payable to the University
5.0 Submission of Documents
The completed Pre-qualification and Bid Documents should be sealed and marked “Confidential” at the left-hand corner of an envelope to reach the address indicated below. Name, Telephone Number and Mailing Address of the Tenderer shall be clearly stated on the reverse side of the envelope(s). This shall be addressed to-

6.0 Closing Date of Submission
Closing Date of Submission of Pre-qualification Documents shall be 12th November, 2012, while the Bid Document is on 10th December, 2012 by 12.00 Noon Prompt.
Note
Only Pre-qualified Contractors shall be invited to Tender upon payment of Tender Fees as follows:
1-Lot1 N20, 000.00
2-Lot 2 N10, 000.00
3-Lot 3 N100, 000.00
This advertisement shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the University’s Management nor shall it entitle responding Tenderers to seek any indemnity from the University by virtue of such Tenderers having responded to this advertisement.
