Under The Water and Sanitation Programme
Serendipity Health Care Foundation (SHF) is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that supports health care delivery at the grassroots level through the provision of safe access to drinking water and sanitation.
SHF also intervenes in Malaria, Maternal and Child Health Programmes
SHF invites responses from interested and qualified organizations to carry out borehole construction and rehabilitation.
Objective of Service: To provide access to safe, clean drinking water and sanitation facilities.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applications must include the following details:
1. Profile of Organization including
- A copy of evidence of company registration with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Physical address of organization
- Key contact (email and telephone)
2. Demonstration that they have been engaged in similar borehole construction activities for more than one year.
3. Evidence of financial management system including a copy of company current three years Tax Clearance Certificate
4. Clients references for work which have been performed within the last twelve month period.

Evaluation and Selection:
Submissions will be reviewed by a technical review committee within SHF using the under listed criteria:
- Financial standing of the organization
- Evidence of infrastructure on ground
- Evidence of previous jobs carried out
Submission of Application/ Closing Date:
Two sealed envelopes to be sent; One containing only the financial bid and marked with the code FSD2007/25.19.1 on the top right hand corner, the second to contain profile, proof of eligibility and other supporting document as may be necessarily and marked with the code FSD2007/25.19.2 on the top right hand corner. Name of organization tendering should also be clearly written on the rear of all envelopes. The envelopes should be addressed to the “Programme Officer” Procurement Division shf. P.O. Box 2444, Kano, Kano State on or before 9th June 2011.
Note: Only organizations that satisfy the eligibility requirement will be considered for evaluation and selection. The financial submissions of organizations that do not meet the eligibility requirements will be returned unopened.
