Pre-Qualification to Tender for the Procurement of Project in the 2012 Capital Appropriation Budget
The Federal University of Technology. Owerri, hereby invites bids for pre-qualification and tender for the procurement of the following projects in the 2012 Capital Appropriation Budget.
1. Procurement of Teaching and Research Equipment/Laboratory Furniture
2. Furnishing of Directorate of General Studies Building
3. Furnishing of Child/Day Care Centre
4. Landscaping of the School of Health Technology.
Tenderers could access more information from the Physical Planning and Development Unit of the University from 8:am to 4pm daily from the date of this advertisement.
Tender Condition and Procedure
All tenders must:
(a) Provide evidence of incorporation of company with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and up to date return with CAC.
(b) Provide evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act 2004 (as
amended)
(c) State clearly relevance personnel to execute the job with their curriculum vitae and photocopies of their certificates included.
(d) State relevant equipment for the execution of the job and include receipt of purchase or case hold agreement
(e) Provide evidence of jobs of similar character and scope executed as well as letters of contract award/competition certificate etc.
(f) Provide verifiable evidence of compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Act 2001
(g) Provide sworn affidavit affirming that information provided is correct
(h) Include copies of current tax clearance certificate.
(i) Include evidence of financial capacity to attestation from a reputable bank.
(j) Be ready to appear before the University Management for an interview as part of the contract award procedure.
(k) Be ready to show the University the Company’s Head Office and site for claim completed jobs.
(l) Furnish traceable contact address(es) phone number(s) and email(s).
(ii) The bill of quantities and other contract documents will be given only to the tenders that pass the technical pre-qualification exercise
(iii) No tenders will be allowed to tender for more than one of the approved jobs
(iv) All applications for pre-qualification must be returned in wax-sealed envelopes and marked on the left hand corner with the title “2012 Capital Appropriation Budget Projects” and addressed to the Registrar/Secretary, University Tenders Board, Federal University of Technology, Owerri and submitted in room 9 Council Matters Unit, Senate Building, FUTO.
(v) The submission of pre-qualification on bids will close on 24th December 2012 by 12.00 noon.
Opening of Pre-qualification Document
The bids will be opened on the closing day of the submission of tenders by 1.00pm at the Council/Senate Chambers, Federal University of Technology, Owerri in the presence of all interested bidders who are encouraged to attend personally but could also send their accredited representatives.
Note: Already submitted tenders which do not meet the above stated conditions for pre-qualification can be retrieved and amended.
