Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors/Bidders (Local and National Advertisement)
A. Preamble:
The Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Moor Plantation, Ibadan invites reputable contractors to pre-qualify for the underlisted projects.
Interested and reputable contractors with relevant experience in handling the following projects are therefore invited to apply for pre-qualification as a first step to subsequent engagement of contractors on the proposed projects.
The Projects are as follows:
1. Electrification, Furnishing, Landscaping and Plumbing Works of Training Hall for Soya bean utilization and popularization.
2. Purchase of generators for Training Hall and Ikenne Piggery Project.
3. Construction of Office/Laboratory at Ikenne Piggery Project.
4. Electrification of Piggery Project at Ikenne
5. Furnishing of Laboratory and Offices for Piggery Project at Ikenne Outstation
6. Plumbing Works for Piggery Project at Ikenne Outstation
7. Purchase of Agrochemicals, fertilizer and farm tools
8. Rehabilitation of Dairy Project facilities at Moor Plantation
9. Purchase of Dairy Project equipment.
10. Creation of electronic database for Central Administration/Institute Library.
11. Construction of boreholes for research activities
12. Construction of Pathology and Utilization Laboratory Complex
13. Procurement /refurbishing of laboratory equipment
14. Procurement of Utility vehicles for research, production, utilization, popularization and monitoring.
15. Procurement of tractors for research activities and training.
16. Land Survey and documentation of Headquarters and Outstations for research purposes
17. Grading of Outstations roads and rehabilitation of Headquarter roads.
18. Installation of Kenaf processing lines for training and demonstration to entrepreneurs.
19. Rehabilitation of Institute Guest House and Hostel for trainees on production, utilization and popularization
20. Farm Broadcast room for information dissemination to resource poor farmers in Southwestern Nigeria.
B. Pre-Qualification Criteria for Technical Competence
(a) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
(b) Evidence of similar jobs previously executed (attach letters of award and job completion certificates)
(c) Technical and administrative staff strength with academic /professional qualifications and experience of key personnel
(d) List of equipment and their conditions
(e) Current financial status of company including reference from bank attesting to financial capability
(f) Audited Accounts of company for the immediate past three years
(g) Tax Clearance Certificate for the immediate past three years
(h) VAT Certificate for the immediate past three years
(i) Registered premises of Company
C. Submission Of Pre-Qualification Documents
Pre-qualification documents should be in sealed envelopes and are to be returned on or before 25th June 2012, by 12.00 noon. All submissions should be addressed to:

D. PLEASE NOTE:
(a) This is not an invitation to tender. Full tendering will be applied to only tenders that have been pre-qualified and found capable of executing the project.
(b) This notice shall not be construed to be a commitment on the part of the Institute to award any form of contract to any respondents nor shall it entitle any organization submitting documents to claim any indemnity from the Institute.
(c) Failure to comply with the above guidelines may lead to disqualification.
(d) Late submission will not be entertained.
