Invitation for Tenders for Projects by Suitably Qualified Contractors for 2012 Appropriation
In compliance with Federal Government 2007 Public Procurement Act, The National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS), Federal Ministry of Apiculture and Rural Development, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria hereby invites reputable and experienced Contractors to tender in respect of its approved projects under the 2012 Appropriation.
The areas are:
A On-going Construction and Furnishing of 50 Bedroom Training Hostel
1. Supply and Installation of Accommodations Furniture
2. Supply and Installation of Electronics
3. Supply and Installation of 500KVA Transformer
4. Supply and Installation of 500KVA Generator
5. Supply of Kitchen and Restaurant Facilities
6. Supply of Laundry Equipments
7. Supply of Sport Facilities
8. Supply and Installation of Customized Linen Materials
9. Supply and Installation of Customized Interior Decoration and Artwork
B. Upgrading of existing radio and TV studios facilities
1. Supply and installation of radio and TV studios equipments
C. Strengthening of South -South Zonal Office Port-Harcourt
1. Rehabilitation of the south-south zonal office
2. Supply and installation of office furniture
3. Supply and installation of office and field equipments.
D. Promotion of Modern and Commercial Agriculture in 7 Model and Adopted Villages (2 in HQ and 5 in Agro-Ecological Zones in Nigeria)
1. Supply and installation of facilities for 7 model and adopted villages (2 in HQ and 5 in agro-Ecological Zones in Nigeria)
E. Library Information: Information Generation, Documentation and Circulation
1. Supply and installation of internet and intranet communication facilities in 7 locations
2. Construction and furnishing of farmer help line center
3. Supply and installation of Tele-com Hard and softwares, fibre networking of equipment and specialized training of staff
4. Subscription of internet and intranet service provision
2. Requirements:
Interested Companies are to collect Tender Documents from the institute upon payment of N20, 000.00 only in the institute Cash Office.
Submission of the Tender Documents should be made in a sealed envelope indicating on the top left hand corner of the envelope the code provided each area of interest as listed above along with the following documents:
- Certificate of incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Evidence of membership of relevant professional bodies (e. g. COREN, NIA, NIQS, CORBON etc) as the case may be.
- Possession of tax clearance Certificate for the past three years.
- Value Added Tax (VAT) Registration Certificate.
- Evidence of issuance of Compliance Certificate to all Organization by PENCOM in line with Pension Reform Act 2004 (as amended)
- Evidence of Compliance with the Provision of the Industrial Training Fund Amendment Act 2011 as they relate to Training Contributions by liable Organization
- Bank reference letter indicating evidence of accessibility to credit facility.
- Copy of audited account for the past three years.
- Comprehensive company profile indicating the CV of key personnel.
- Verifiable evidences of past job experiences in similar projects of interest in the past 5years indicating the contract sum and evidence of satisfactory job performance.
- Any other evidence/document that would confirm the skill/competence of the individual contractors.
3. Submission of Tender Documents:
Three copies of the Tenders Documents should be sealed in separate envelopes and
Labeled “Tender Document: Lot….” to be sent on or before 17th July 2012 by 2:00 p.m, addressed to:

4. Issues to Note:
Documents submitted after 17th July 2012 will automatically disqualify the applicant(s).
a) The Institute is neither committed nor obliged to write any company to tender nor award any contract to partners, contractors, consultants or agents.
b) The Institute is not bound to accept the lowest of any tender submitted.
c) The Institute shall not be responsible for any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of documents.
