Procurement of Office Furniture and Generators

The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of Nigeria has received a Grant from the Statistics for Results Facility-Catalytic fund (SRF-CF) being managed by the international Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Nigeria Statistical Development Project (NSDP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant for payments under the Contract for procurement of office furniture and generators.
The National Bureau of Statistics now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of office furniture and generators. The details are as follow:

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) purchased specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from National Bureau of Statistics; S.B. Harry sbharry@nigerianstat.gov.ng and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9.00am to 4pm, Mondays to Fridays, with the exception of public holidays.
5. Qualifications requirements include; company profile; evidence of company registration; last three (3) years audited financial statement; current Tax Clearance Certificate; evidence of VAT registration and evidence of similar jobs done in the past Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of ten thousand naira only (N10,000.00). The method of payment will be by cash or bank draft made payable National Bureau of Statistics SRF Project. The Bidding Documents should be collected by hand at the address stated below or forwarded to bidders by courier on request.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 16th January, 2012, by 12 noon. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend in person at the address below on 16th January, 2012 by 12.00 noon. All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” as specified in paragraph 2 above.
